Hello,
A user had posted on the Joomla forums about having a scrolling articles extension and the links within those articles could be read by Search engines.
I recommended your Ajax Scroller to him but did a check to see how search engines crawled your demo site. I input the AJAX Scroller demo site here:
www.syscorseo.com/Spider_Page.php
To my surprise the search engines do not pick up on the articles placed within the scroller. For example, in the results of the spider page there is no link for:
joomla15.sakic.net/about-joomla!/the-pro...nion%27s-typography/
which is one of the articles linked to from your demo site in one of the scrollers.
Is this normal and if so, why?
Thanks,
Mark

I wonder if the tool you are using is accurate. The link you mention is in the source code and it should be picked up by search engines. Try Google Webmaster Tools: "Fetch as Googlebot" instead.
Note though that AJAX Scroller fetches the articles asynchronously. That means only the first article is present at page load while others are fetched as you click navigation buttons. Consequently, a search engine will only see the first item. If you want it to see all of them set the article ordering to random. This way random article will be displayed at page load and search engines should pick up all articles eventually.
