I just purchased the Ajax scroller which looked really good in the demo. If someone is visiting my page with the scroller on it and when I publish articles... the NEW content does not show unless they refresh the page! It will continue to show the old news! How can I make it live so they don't have to refresh the page to get the new news. Or is this even possible? isn't that what Ajax is supposed to do?

Hello,
AJAX in this scroller is used to fetch articles as you scroll through. It is not supposed to check for new articles that are posted in the meantime.
If you need a module for that you can contact us for a custom work. We have a semi-finished solution called AJAX Poller that does exactly this, but then without scrolling.

Hmm, thats a shame, I thought it did this. If you are familiar with a stock ticker, they are updated every few seconds to minutes, without refreshing the page. That's what I am looking for. I will be signaling people in real time and they need to get the info fast. Asking them to keep refreshing the page is not professional.
How much would you charge to have such a module made?
Thanks

I understand but that's not what AJAX Scroller is advertised as. It's pretty uncommon for a Joomla site to publish articles each few seconds too.
It depends on what you need exactly. It's a custom solution based on your requirements but most of the work is already done. You can see an example here: quanttwits.com/
So please contact me on mail and we will arrange something.
