Hi, Saka.
What do you think about including a functionality that allows users to choose which group to register, in a dropdown box (for a single group choice) or a radio (for multiple groups selection)? I mean, using a single reg form globally.

I got that request and thought about this. It can be implemented but it must be in a secure manner. You must be able to select to which groups you want to allow registrations. It would be security risk letting someone to register as a superadmin. This must have multiple checks to avoid this from happening even if the user manipulates with forms. If someone would hack you, you would blame my component.
So yes, I am thinking about it but it's not as simple as it might sound.

Take a look at my use case:
I run a soccer league site and each group corresponds to a team. When a player requests to join a team, he has already received a password from his coach.
With that password in hands, he could register and choose his team (group) and that group would be allowed access only if he input that password. The site admin should be able to assign one or more passwords to each group.
And the Super User and Admin groups shouldn't appear on that list, the admin must have a backend option to configure which groups would be available for registration through that form.
I bet one could figure more use cases like this, those features would be very, very useful...
Take a look at how the "Multi Profiles Plugin" ( www.joomapp.com ) implemented this.. Your extension would rock if we consider it's already state of art.

Thanks.
Yes, I will be implementing this very soon, maybe even this weekend.
Note that you can already achieve this by creating menu entries with a registration form for each group. But, as said, I will add the drop-down soon.

Great, Saka! It's gonna be really cool!
Will it be possible to implement the password stuff, also?

Password stuff: no, I think that's a pretty specific requirement.
