Ajax Register Shows Double Fields on Registration Page

So I've created some custom fields in Ajax Register that I want to display on my registration page. When I set it, they show up twice, once where they should and once under "Additional Info". I saw in another post that the fix for this is to update to Ajax Register 3.7. I am currently running ajax register 3.7.5 and it did not fix the problem. Edit to add: it's no longer duplicating but now has the fields separate when I need them together. Please advise on how to fix this?
