Help with strange duplicate URLs that don't redirect to 404 page

Hi guys,

I'm on joomla 1.0.15, with v5.8 (14.07.2008)

Some URLs are accessible via random weird URLs and are obvious duplicates that do not redirect to the 404 page...

e.g.
www.mydomain.com/directory/property1/   (actual page)
www.mydomain.com/directory/property1/registration/register/   (duplicate but still shows as the first page)

Are there any fixes for this issue?

It's mosets hot property 0.98.

Also, how do I add page numbers to combat the duplicate page titles/meta descriptions on pages 1, 2, 3, etc of listings?

Urls are showing up as duplicates in google webmaster tools:

Example:

www.domain/direcory/type/
www.domain/direcory/type/name/asc
www.domain/direcory/type/name/asc/10/10

Then it's a question for Hot Property author as it's their extension for SEF Advance (sef_ext.php).

I wouldn't worry too much about duplicate URLs that show in webmaster tools for a specific component. Even though it's solved for Joomla core it can be difficult to solve for specific components and it's usually not worth the effort.

It does matter, because duplicate urls that don't point to the 404 page are indexed and penalised as duplicate content by google...

Are there any tips to fix my sef_ext.php to "delete" these bad urls?

I know but it's not easy to solve it for each custom 3rd party component. It should really be done by the component author. I can't give you any tips other than code it myself. It can be done on custom work basis. If you are interested send me a mail for a quote.
