CB Login Module

I have a weird problem with SEF Adv and CB Login Module...

If SEF is turned on for CB, I cannot login through the CB Login Module, but am redirected to the CB Login component page (you must login / register first). Logging in there is no problem.  But basically it makes the login module useless ???

The CB component was in the menu and set to public.

Does anybody have this problem? Did I overlook something?
Could that be a template problem?

Help is greatly appreciated. For the time being SEF Adv has been turned off for CB.

Make sure you turn OFF all redirects in SEF Advance configurations.

Mhm.... There are no redirects - only the standard sample - and that was (and is) turned off.
Might there be another suggestion?  :-[
