We have been using SEF Advance for some time now, and prefer the way of configuring a static alias for each menu item to control SEO fully.
But now we are using some kind of tool to create articles dynamically, and with this tool all URLs are created dynamically as well - of course by looking at their title. But if the title includes characters like ( + = ) { } / & etcetera, the URL contains a lot of HTML encoded entities. And this just looks really ugly.
Is there a way to strip all these extra characters. I have tried the "URL replace" option, but this crashes (?) on characters like
or
Any chance for a simple option like "strip all characters accept alphanumeric and - and _"? I now this will bring extra problems like title uniqueness along, but that's the responsibility of the site owner.

No, it's not possible. The reason is technical, SEF Advance makes conversion on-the-fly, it doesn't save URLs in database which gives performance advantage, but can't offer that much flexibility in terms of modifying URLs.
