Featur Request to unique URLs

I read that maybe in the future SEF Advance will give the possibility to add only an Item-ID like
domain.com/section/category/id-item.htm
to the SEF-URL (now you can add date and id.
Now I have maybe 1000 SEF URLs, all good placed in Google and well external linked, and I want to use this feature for new URLs - maybe for new user items or in the forum, where perhaps a new thread is named like an older one.
Then it would be nice to say: Please use the unique id only from itemid 1000 and higher.
Only a suggestion.
