no difference in url after installing sef advance 2008

Hi,
I had built-in sef working on my site (joomla 1.5.1), installed sef advance 2008, and all the urls still appear the same. In sef advance configuration, i verified that it was turned on. I also read through the faq and didnt find anything wrong with how i am set up.

Has anyone else experienced this? what could be wrong?

It appears as though im not using sef advance 2008 afterall. I think i am using the old sef advance, version 5.6.0. (is there a '5.6.0' for sef advance 2008?)

No, SEF Advance is for Joomla! 1.0 and Mambo with the current version 5.6.0 and SEF Advance 2008 is for Joomla! 1.5 with current version 1.0.9.

I have the same problem, new install of joomla 1.5.2 and sef advanced 2008 get no difference in URL any progress on your problem?

Got it working.... uninstalled it  then re installed it........
