Diagnostics tells me the /public_html/cache is unwritable. However, it's set to chmod 777 and no other component relays this back.
It may be related to a general slowdown on the site since installing SEF Advance. Then again it may not!!
Any thoughts / ideas about the unwritable info?

SEF advance diagnostics don't check whether the "cache" is writable. I'm not sure where you have seen this.

Just discovered my cache problem was a wrong absolute path in the joomla config. Nothing to do with SEF Advance, which is performing admirably and getting my site further up the search engines!!
