SOBI2 extension and Alpha-Index

16 years 2 weeks ago #3368 by cazzani
As an happy user of SEF Advance, I would like to use it also for a directory section on my site to be built with SOBI2.

The SEF Advance Extension for SOBI2 seems to works fine except for the Alpha-Index.

For instance, when clicking 'C' on the SOBI2's alpha index (without sef), it passes the parameter ?letter=C.

Enbling SEF Advance, the parameter letter get lost making the Alpha-Index not usable.

Is a limitation of the current SEF Advance Extension or is a mistake in my configuration?

I am using:
SEF Advance v.1.5.4
SEF Advance SOBI2 Extension v1.1
SOBI 2 RC 2.9.0.1
Joomla V 1.5.7

Thanks in advance Emir for any suggestion you may have.

Stefano

It could be a limitation of the extension for SOBI2, I will take a look.

Hello Saka,

I am having a similar problem with SEF URL's & Sobi2
I have just tested this on my Local Machine with alternate version of Sobi2

RC 2.9.0.1
RC 2.8.7.2
SEF Advance 1.6.8

In both cases, the SEF URL's for the Alpha Index & The Pagination do not work.
I have tried to find answers in the Sigsu.net forum but nothing.

For me the Pagination is the most import, as we have +30000 listings in our directory.
I can get away with not using the ALPHA index for now.

It would be greatly appreciated, if you could find the time, to help us out on this one.

Kram

Have patience please. I hope I don't have to remind you that 3rd party components are not covered by support, the extensions are provided unsupported. I will have a look when I get some time over.

Please send a mail with FTP info. I am working on the extension but need to test and it takes too much time to replicate locally. Thanks.
