Advise on how to move a live site with SEF Advance to a new server

How does a server move works with Sef Advance?

I installed a copy of the live site on the new server, and naturally Sef Advance doesn't work there, I get the message that sef is not licensed to this address. The homepage is loaded but when I try to surf the site I get 'Not Found' errors.

When I disable sef urls I can surf the site without problems. I've used the test file and ioncube is installed correctly.

The question is: when the dns is directed to this new site location, will Sef Advance work right off the bat?

Anyone had experience with this?

Yes, when domain is propagated to new server it should work.
