One of the most requested features for SEF Advance has been excluding section and category titles from URLs. Well, we listened and with the new version of SEF Advance, it's now possible! You can setup your article URLs just the way you like: "section/category/article/", "section/article/", "category/article/" or even only "article/".
In the new version of SEF Advance you will find options for including section and category names in your article URLs. The default for both is "Yes" which will produce the article URLs just like before, for example:http://www.zoo.com/animals/predators/lion/
But, adjusting the new settings you can also turn this URL to:
http://www.zoo.com/animals/lion/
http://www.zoo.com/predators/lion/
or even simply:
http://www.zoo.com/lion/
These new features are brought to you without compromising the well known performance of SEF Advance and its advantage of being a pure-logic SEF solution. The new settings are now available both in SEF Advance v5.8 for Joomla! 1.0 and SEF Advance 2008 v1.5 for Joomla! 1.5.
The upgrade is free for current customers at the automatic download page.
To upgrade from previous version export your settings, uninstall the old version, install the new one and import the settings again. No data will be lost.
